PWA SPECIAL EMPHASIS PROGRAM MANAGERS
Special Emphasis Program Managers were appointed by the Area Director in FY 2002 to address the unique concerns of women, minorities, and persons with disabilities in achieving equal opportunity in all employment and program delivery activities. A key purpose of this program is to enhance the diversity of the PWA workforce at all levels of employment.
SEPMs will act as resource persons to PWA employees by providing information which would improve the employment of minorities, women and persons with disabilities. Examples of this include identifying outreach and recruitment sources, helping locations establish contacts with minority organizations, coordinating recruitment and job fair events, providing guidance on enhancing sensitivity to persons of different ethnic groups, and developing special observance programs and activities.
