Welcome to the Pacific West Area Workforce Diversity Committee (PWA WFDC) website.

This Committee was established in August of 2004 and consists of 28 members from all levels of employment and representing each location in the Pacific West Area. Included in this membership are PWA's six Special Emphasis Program Managers and two representatives from the ARS Office of Outreach, Diversity, and Equal Opportunity (ODEO) -- one from the Affirmative Employment Program Staff and one from the Recruitment Staff. The Area Director continues to be committed to taking the steps necessary to improve recruitment efforts to increase the representation of qualified minorities, women, and individuals with disabilities to achieve a more diverse workforce. This Committee was formed to provide guidance, advice and recommendations to the Area Director on creating an environment that promotes a diverse workforce reflecting the diversity of the populations the PWA serves.
