Partnering is very important to NADC...
NADC's goals are to:
- Develop rapid, accurate diagnostic tests for diseases that are important to our livestock industries;
- Develop safe and effective strategies to control livestock diseases, and;
- Understand the epidemiology of diseases and the ways in which they spread in populations of animals.
To achieve these goals, NADC often enters into collaborative agreements with universities and companies. These collaborations are facilitated through patent licensing and specialized agreements that protect the intellectual property of all involved. For example, Confidentiality Agreements, Material Transfer Agreements, Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs) are just a few examples of the tools that are used.
