 USDA, ARS Honey Bee Breeding, Genetics & Physiology Research Unit


The Honey Bee Breeding, Genetics & Physiology Research Unit is located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  The Bee Lab currently employs 18 full-time personnel.  As a bee research lab we can spend a great deal of time out of doors, both at the Lab and in field research locations. The research conditions vary by season.   Temperatures here in the summer reach the high 90's and the humidity can be 100%.  Early spring and late fall can be very pleasant. 

The Honey Bee Breeding, Genetics & Physiology research Unit has no job openings at the present time.
