Summer 2000 Participants Group Photo

During Summer 2000,  the Center for Medical, Agricultural, and Veterinary Entomology sponsored 7 high school student apprentices and 2 college student interns with ARS funds.  We cooperated with the University of Florida to sponsor laboratory training for two high school teachers, and with Santa Fe Community College to sponsor 5 students in the Youth Employment Start (YES) program, a work-training program for high school students.  In addition, we had two students participating in the Student Science Training Program (S.S.T.P.), a summer program run through U.F. to provide research experience to promising high school students.
