EEO Activities in FY 2014

To celebrate Disability Awareness Month, on Wed., Oct. 30th Jana Malot, came and spoke about her experiences as volunteer with the Wounded Warriors Project.  The Wounded Warriors Project is an all volunteer group (nationwide) who arrange and carry out experiences for wounded soldiers.  Jana has said that her group brings soldiers and sometimes their families from the Walter Reed Hospital to her homestead in south central PA to go hunting, fishing, horseback riding and other outdoor activities.

To celebrate Native American Heritage Month we had a pumpkin celebration, with decorated or carved pumpkins on display and pumpkin food to sample. There were fun facts about pumpkins and how they were used by the Native Americans.

To celebrate Black History Month Amy Collick gave a presentation about her experiences in Ethiopia.  It was held on Tuesday, Feb. 25th, at 11:00am in the conference room.
