Welcome to the Southern Plains Area (SPA) Office located in College Station, Texas. The Area Office provides administrative support and guidance to the United States Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Research Service locations in the region.  The region comprises four states, including Arkansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas, as well as one international site located in Panama City, Panama. 

Our Mission Statement: To provide guidance and support to management units for fiscal, physical, and human resource management in order to assure program excellence, appropriateness, and accountability for customers of the National Research Programs in the Southern Plains Area.
