Plains Area Safety and Occupational Health Team

 

The safety team is committed to providing a safe and productive working setting for the Plains Area personnel, ensuring the maintenance of environment quality, and support the research mission of the Agricultural Research Service. Provided services include continual training opportunities and technical support in safety and environmental issues for Location Directors, Research Leaders, Scientists, and Technicians. Safety related equipment and training material loans are provided to the Area locations. Safety and environmental inspections of locations are conducted by 1^st or 2^nd party auditors on an annual basis. Regulatory directives and information are disseminated to research laboratory personnel in coordination with Headquarters/Area Safety Offices.
