Goals of CEEPR are to:

  • advance food and non-food processing technologies via extrusion and related high shear texturization technologies
  • enhance the nutritional values of foods through the development of functionalized proteins
  • expand the availability of nutritionally enriched new foods
  • develop novel non-food poducts
  • expand use of ERRC Pilot Plant facilities through partnering with ARS, industry, and academia collaborators
  • expand multidisciplinary team use of ERRC pilot plants by providing the framework for collaboration on multiple products within ARS and with academia and industry
  • research and develop product needs of collaborators, enhancing the potential for technology breakthroughs
