Sommunity SlideshowSidney, Montana, is a great place to live, because its ideal location allows people to enjoy every outdoor activity under the sun, while providing a safe community to live and raise a family.  The "Sunrise City" of Sidney, is a town that offers all of life's simple pleasures plus much more.  It is a place that lets you work, play, and make a difference without all of the rush that comes along with a big city; yet it is close enough to larger communities to still present a wide variety of attractions and excitement.

Surrounded by the lush, irrigated sugarbeet fields of the Lower Yellowstone River Valley, Sidney is a robust community of over 5,000 residents and 400 businesses. Recreational opportunities and facilities are many, including an 18 hole golf course, Olympic size pool and water slide, hockey arena, tennis courts, baseball fields and numerous municipal parks. The community also boasts one of the finest combined art gallery and history museums in the region, the MonDak Heritage Center. The surrounding area also includes both national and state parks and historic sites within easy driving distance, as well as live entertainment at the Fort Peck (MT) Summer Theatre, Medora (ND) Musical and the Richland County Fair and Rodeo. Fishing, hiking, kayaking, hunting and more are common outdoor pursuits in the area, with agate hunting a favorite along the Yellowstone.
