Responsibilities

My responsibility is to take an integrated approach (including molecular genetics, biology, biochemistry, genomics, and phenomics) to evaluate, characterize, and utilize different plant germplasm in the Unit. As a geneticist, I conceive, design, and conduct experiments, analyze data, interpret and report scientific results. I coordinate the lab activity and priority, report to Research Leader on the project progress and challenges, and give recommendations on initiating collaboration and changing projects with my scientific knowledge, judgement, and available equipment, human and fiscal resources. I also have an additional responsibility for sweetpotato curation.
