headline bar
This database was created through a collaborative effort between the USDA and the Department of Nutrition, University of North Carolina.

The database contains values for six choline metabolites:

  • Betaine
  • Glycerophosphocholine
  • Phosphocholine
  • Phosphatidylcholine
  • Sphingomyelin
  • Total choline

You will need the Adobe Acrobat viewer to view the report.

Note:  If you downloaded either the ASCII or Microsoft Access version of the choline database prior to March 4, 2008, please download the file again.  We have found an error in the total choline values.
