In this aerial color-infrared digital video image of another weed-infested portion of the Rio Grande, roads and bare soil appear white or blue-grey, while trees are reddish maroon. Water hyacinth along the upper river bank (just below the road that runs across the photo) shows as bright red, the hydrilla along the lower banks as reddish brown, and the remaining open water is black.
