The invasive tree saltcedar (Tamarix spp.) grows up to 30 feet tall and infests more than a million acres along the West's rivers and streams. The effort to control saltcedar by natural means is the focus of the Saltcedar Biological Control Consortium, a group of federal and state agencies and private organizations. (20 minutes, 2004).
