Mission

The mission of the Crop Science Research Laboratory is to: (1) conduct genetic, entomology, pathology, and plant resistance research on cotton and corn for major insect and disease pests; (2) to expand the knowledge of molecular processes of cotton and corn; (3) to develop sustainable agricultural technologies and systems; and (4) to develop technologies to optimize waste use and disposal from confined swine and poultry production via various crop and soil systems. To accomplish this mission the Laboratory has two Research Units: Genetics and Sustainable Agriculture and Corn Host Plant Resistance. This research is accomplished using integrated, multidiscipline research teams.
The Crop Science Research Laboratory is located in Mississippi State, MS and is part of the Southeast Area.
