I received my M.D. degree from Medical School, Zhejiang University in China. My previous research experiences include clinical diagnosis of early stage hepatitis diseases by immunological analysis, development of ELISA-based drug screening kits, and several years of laboratory research on construction and expression of recombinant proteins, protein separation, protein characterization and proteomics studies. I joined USDA-ARS in 2003 as a biochemist at Functional & Comparative Proteomics Center on the Cornell University campus in Ithaca, NY.
