Mission:
The Pullman location consists of 5 research units. The location established a TEAMS (Towards Enhanced Agricultural Management Systems) WorkGroup which would focus the research of four units (Plant Germplasm Introduction and Testing, Grain Legume Genetics and Physiology, Northwest Sustainable Agro-ecosystems, and the Wheat Health, Genetics, and Quality Research Units) on sustainable agriculture issues using an integrated, multidisciplinary research approach. The TEAMS Work Group addresses Pacific Northwest agroecosystem processes and long-term implications of farming practices on economic, production, environment and social concerns. The Animal Diseases Research's mission is to perform basic and applied research on persistent diseases of domestic animals to provide methods for diagnosis, immune-protection and a detailed under-standing of the disease processes, leading to disease management and control.
