Biography and Research 

Michael Bowman-Research Chemist

Michael Bowman received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Purdue University, West Lafayette in 2003.  He completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Boston University School of Medicine at the Center for Biomedical Mass Spectrometry.  In 2008, he joined the Agricultural Research Service at the National Center for Agricultural Utilization Research Laboratory located in Peoria, IL.  Since joining ARS, his research has focused on the use of analytical tools to improve the hydrolysis of biomass carbohydrate biopolymers.
