NOAA, USDA and the Plant Products in Aquafeed Working Group
August 1-3, 2011, Shepherdstown, West Virginia
Improving Productivity, Efficiency, Product Quality and Environmental Sustainability of Aquaculture Operations through Systematic Integration of Information and Knowledge
The workshop addressed how existing genomics and genetics approaches can best be used to improve aquaculture production and to identify gaps in knowledge and tools that need to be focused on for further advancements. We are particularly interested in phenotypes related to improving tolerance to alternative feedstuffs; and to nutritional genomics approaches that will lead to improved digestibility of aquafeeds.
