Research Project: APEX CALIBRATION ON THE LAKE PLAIN SOILS OF THE MAUMEE RIVER BASIN

Location: National Soil Erosion Research Lab

Project Number: 3602-12130-001-10
Project Type: Interagency Reimbursable Agreement

Start Date: Sep 15, 2012
End Date: Sep 30, 2014

Objective:
The objective of this work will be to calibrate and validate the APEX model for the Lake Plain soils of the Maumee River Basin.

Approach:
Published data from the Lake Plain region with information about hydrology and nutrient loss pathways will be summarized. Specific field research may be advanced on priority research questions to assist with model calibration. The APEX model will be calibrated and validated given the best available dataset, in order for NRCS to utilize the model on NRI datapoints within the Maumee basin.
