Objective:
To support the Carrot Improvement for Organic Agriculture (CIOA) project in the development of a project-specific workspace at eOrganic.info to share information about the project with other eOrganic.info members and publish to eXtension; and to support a carrot breeding project website.

Approach:
Will expand the variety trial database established by the NOVIC group in eOrganic to include fields for nutritional and soils analysis evaluations in conjunction with data results. Will host project webinars including one on the organic carrot breeding project, another on breeding for nutrition, and another on organic systems and environmental influences on cultivar performance. Will publish project’s articles on functional foods and antioxidants in foods. Will announce annual field days related to the project and invite public attendance in multiple states.
