Location: Pest Management and Biocontrol Research
Project Number: 2020-22620-021-19
Start Date: Apr 01, 2014
End Date: Mar 31, 2018
To achieve the stated objective, both parties, USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) and Washington State University (WSU) will share clones, data, information, samples, and where applicable authorships on publications. At times, the collaboration may also include serving as co-Principal Investigator (co-PI) on L. hesperus related grant proposals. In most instances, the ARS lab will furnish sequence information on genes of interest, the expression of which will then be analyzed by WSU using field-collected specimens, insecticide treated samples, and/or samples from the ARS lab. Expression analyses may also be done at ARS on genes of mutual interest. No funds will be transferred in support of these collaborative ventures. Both parties are actively engaged in independent research projects to develop knowledge and control tactics based on the physiology, biochemistry, and genetics of L. hesperus. The parties agree that meeting the objectives of this project will strengthen and enhance the ongoing research of the respective programs within the scope of this agreement.
