Objective:
The objective of this cooperative agreement is to develop and/or deliver region-specific scientific information and technologies for agricultural and natural resource managers that enable climate-smart decision-making and where possible provide assistance to enable land managers to implement those decisions.
Approach:
The Southwest Region Climate Hub as part of the ARS research unit based at the Jornada Experimental Range is working closely with the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources, University of Hawaii at Manoa, in developing science-based land management and conservation practices for ranches, farms and forested lands in Hawaii. This agreement continues these activities and specifically focuses on developing and providing resources and information to support and enhance programs with customers and stakeholders in Hawaii.
