Project Number: 3012-21000-013-01
Project Type: Grant

Start Date: Oct 01, 2012
End Date: Dec 30, 2014

Approach:
Recognizing the importance to humanity of protecting and conserving native plant genetic resources for present and future generations, the Akwesasne Task Force on the Environment (ATFE) and the National Center for Genetic Resources Preservation (NCGRP) enter into this agreement to launch cooperation for the collection and storage of Fraxinus seed. The cooperation is intended to help guarantee the security of Fraxinus genetic resources in North America for joint study, utilization, and to maintain the cultural values associated with the Fraxinus resource for native tribes in North America.
