Technical Abstract: This is the first report of Olpidium bornovanus as a root pathogen of field-grown watermelon, and describes its association with a late season watermelon vine decline in the field. This report provides an overview of this fungus for growers, extension workers, crop consultants and research and regulatory scientists.
