Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: The complete genome of a sparfloxacin-resistant Streptococcus agalactiae vaccine strain 138spar is 1,838,126 bp in size. The genome has 1892 coding sequences and 82 RNAs. The annotation of the genome is added by the NCBI Prokaryotic Genome Annotation Pipeline. The publishing of this genome will allow comparative genomics to identify genes associated with virulence, antibiotic resistance, bacteria growth, and other characteristics. The availability of this complete genome will also facilitate the discovery of immunogens to aid the development of novel vaccines.
