Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: We present three profiles of important bee pollinators of southeastern blueberries. The first profile is about the chief pollinator, a native solitary bee, the southeastern blueberry bee. The second profile concerns floral robbery instigated by carpenter bees and honey bees, which proved beneficial to blueberry pollination. The third profile includes bumble bees or more specifically the role of queen bumble bees in southern blueberry pollination. Information presented includes how to distinguish one bee species from the others, their nesting biology, and their relative contributions to blueberry pollination.
