Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: Alternative jet fuels formulated with biodiesel may significantly improve air quality by reducing pollution from the aviation sector. Biodiesel, made from transesterification of vegetable oil, used frying oil or animal fat with a simple alcohol, may be blended with conventional jet fuel (JP-5 or JP-8) to give a fuel product that adds profits to the nations farmer's and biodiesel fuel producers and reduces dependence on imported resources.
