Technical Abstract: The plum curculio, Conotrachelus nenuphar Herbst (Coleoptera: Curculionidae), is an important pest of pome and stone fruit orchards in North America. The insect is distributed from Quebec to Florida, east of the Rockies and in Utah. Two strains are found: a northern and a southern strain, which have respectively one and two generations per year.
