Technical Abstract: Spectrofluorimetric methods were developed for detection of enrofloxacin in a crude extract of chicken muscle. Investigations were performed with different extraction media, pH, and fluorometric parameters such as excitation and emission wavelengths. Linear calibration curve was obtained from analyses ranging between 100-1000 ppb. Based on this investigation, a simple and rapid method for screening and detection of enrofloxacin in food of animal origin was developed.
