Technical Abstract: To develop insect-resistant corn inbred lines with good agronomic traits, 32 maize hybrids from the crosses between high maysin and elite inbred lines were evaluated for corn earworm resistance and pre-harvest maize weevil resistance. Three commercial hybrids were used as the controls of the study. Corn earworm and maize weevil damage was significantly different among the maize hybrids examined. The possibility of multiple insect resistance in the maize hybrids was also discussed.
