Technical Abstract: Soy based hydrogels were prepared by ring-opening polymerization of epoxidized soybean oil, following hydrolysis of formed polymers. The hydrogels were evaluated loading and releasing water-soluble anticancer drug doxorubin (Dox). The results suggest that this new system offers a great potential to deliver Dox effectively for the treatment of MDR breast cancer.
