Technical Abstract: This bibliography lists 2463 plant science references for Nepal up to the end of 1993. It includes abstracts, books, book reviews, research papers, theses, and reports, on subjects ranging from agriculture, agroforestry, algae, anatomy, angiosperms, bacteria, biodiversity, biographies, bio- technology, bryophytes, collecting expeditions, conservation, cytogenetics, ,cytology, ecology and the environment, economic botany, forestry, fungi, genetic resources, gymnosperms, horticulture, lichens, management, medicinal plants, morphology, paleobotany, palynology, pathology, phytogeography, pteridophytes, and vegetation. A subject index has 438 subjects. Two of these, monocot and dicot, list 228 genera. One subject, taxonomy, lists 66 genera. Two additional indices divide references to place names and scientific names (where individual species are listed). Cross references among multi-authored works allows the contributions of individual authors to be searched, and additionally to be placed in the context of their other work in Nepal. Many references have short descrip- tions of the references.
