Technical Abstract: Vegetable oil based sheetfed and heatset inks are formulated in the absence of volatile organic chemicals (VOC). Properties of these inks (viscosity, tack, drying time) are evaluated and reported. Comparison of VOC test results show that these inks have lower VOC values than both commercial sheetfed and heatset inks. Also comparison of VOC test methods are reported and discussed.
