Technical Abstract: Over the past decade, a considerable amount of research has been conducted on sensing moisture content of cereal grains at frequencies below 1 Ghz. The progress in sensing moisture content of cereal grains by dielectric techniques at these frequencies is summarized in this chapter. Measurement principles are discussed and sensors and techniques are described for moisture measurement of single kernels, static bulk grain samples, flowing grain, and density-independent moisture sensing for on-line applications.
