Technical Abstract:
The teleomorph for Septoria passerinii on barley and other related cereals, formerly known as an asexual pathogen, has been identified. Ascospores are two celled. Germination of ascospores in vitro on PDA medium is slow, and germ tubes form on both sides. Mycelia are unbranched and wavy. Mycelia and ascospores show extensive budding.
