Technical Abstract: The Plant Growth Regulation Society of America (PGRSA) is an international group of students, researchers, and industry personnel whose primary interest is understanding and regulating plant growth. A wide range of fundamental and applied research on both agronomic and horticultural crops is represented by members from over 25 countries. Every 3 years, the annual meeting is held jointly with the Japanese Society for Chemical Regulation of Plants (JSCRP). Ninety manuscripts or expanded abstracts comprised the 232 page Proceedings of 43 oral and 54 poster presentations. Symposia included: 1) Fruit Maturation Management, 2) Biochemical and Molecular Biology of Plant Growth Regulating Chemicals, and 3) Plant Growth Regulation in Nurseries of Trees and Woody Plants. One hundred and thirty members from 14 countries attended the meeting held in Vancouver, British Columbia.
