Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: This CD-ROM contains the abstracts and full papers for the proceedings from the ASABE specialty conference, the International Symposium on Erosion and Landscape Evolution (ISELE), held September 18-21, 2011 at the Hilton Anchorage Hotel in Anchorage, Alaska. Three extended abstracts from the meeting keynote speakers as well as 117 contributed papers on state-of-the-art research in erosion by water, erosion by wind, and landscape evolution are included on the CD-ROM. The topic areas for the papers were: 1) water erosion process research, 2) highly disturbed, urban, and arid lands, 3) Aeolian erosion and fugitive dust emission, 4) erosion processes in wetlands, coastal, and glacial areas, 5) impacts of global change on erosion processes and landscape evolution, 6) prevention and control of upland and in-stream erosion, 7) erosion measurement and assessment, and 8) soil erosion modeling. The information contained in the abstracts and papers provides research findings and procedures that will help guide and direct future soil erosion experiments and modeling activities into the next ten years.
