Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: Simulation models require specialized numeric inputs and generate specialized numeric outputs, making their direct use untenable for persons not highly trained in their application. If the volume of inputs is high, manual data entry becomes tedious and time consuming. Corresponding output volumes make interpretation of the results difficult. The difficulty is compounded if the user must learn several independently produced models. In this paper, design of a single graphic user interface to alleviate these problems for four erosion models will be discussed. Use of Internet technologies to bring together participants from three agencies and a university, at eight locations, will be covered.
