Dr. Cundiff is a Collaborator and former leader of the GermPlasm Evaluation Project. He has contributed to criteria for selection, the development of procedures for genetic evaluation, and breed improvement programs for the beef cattle industry. His research led to increased use of crossbreeding and composite populations to exploit heterosis and breed complementarity and to match genetic potential of beef cattle populations to market preferences, feed resources, and climatic conditions. He continues to characterize breed differences and genetic changes.
