Little Topashaw Creek

The Little Topashaw Creek Stream Corridor Rehabilitation Project emphasized the use of large woody debris and biotechnical techniques for stream restoration. Research projects included collection of data on water quality, fish, macroinvertebrates, vascular plants, geomorphology, and hydrology. This effort was part of the DEC Project, and was cooperative effort among the DEC partners: the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers the USDA-NRCS and the USDA-ARS National Sedimentation Laboratory. Joining in the effort were cooperating landowners and scientists from other institutions.
