The quantity and quality of aquatic habitats along lowland floodplain rivers in agricultural landscapes are in steep decline, often due to nonpoint source pollution, clearing and land forming. In addition to habitat loss ecosystem services such as trapping and processing pollutants are also being lost. This suite of research projects seeks to address these issues at a range of spatial scales.
