WEPP Windows Installation Notes

In order to run WEPP under Windows 10 or Windows 11 WEPP should be installed in a location other than c:\program files

The default installation directory for the current WEPP install (v2024) is c:\wepp. The program can also be installed under the users My Documents directory. WEPP uses subdirectories under its install location for model input and output files. Under Windows 'c:\program files' is read-only so the WEPP should not be installed under this directory.

The install package may not be recognized by Windows Defender and require the user to click through some acknowledgements before the install can start.
