Gully Controls Develop Habitat
headline bar

Drop pipe structures trap storm-generated sediments and other potential pollutants before they enter the stream and convey runoff water to the stream without eroding stream banks. Construction often replaces an existing gully at the stream edge. Drop pipes may develop riparian habitat used by a variety of wildlife, including terrestrial vertebrates as well as fish and aquatic invertebrates.
