Laboratory Tests Reveal Watershed Needs

Laboratory analyses of water samples which reveal excessive sediment, nutrients and pesticides help to pinpoint priority sites for improving farm management, allowing strategic action or development of innovative techniques to alleviate impacts causing harm in the watershed. Agriculture is the largest contributor to non-point source water pollution. Systematic identification of the nature and mechanics of agriculture-related pollution will give us the tools we need to prevent further harm, and, where possible, rehabilitate damaged systems.
