Little Topashaw Creek - Centrarchids, % of Total Catch by Weight

The most distinctive change that occurred in the fish community following installation of the large woody debris structures was a shift away from small, opportunistic cyprinids toward larger centrachids(sunfish species like bluegill and bass). Similar shifts have occurred in other restoration projects within the region, and signal recovery of a community structure typical of less-degraded streams.
