In October 2018, the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) became the Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) and migrated from ARS into AFM.

The mission of ITSD is to enhance ARS research through information technology.

ITSD is led by Assistant Chief Information Officer Lorna Drennen.
