The intent of the symposium is to establish communication about what is known in order to coordinate future cooperation. Sessions will be moderated by leaders in the respective categories and numbers of presentations will change as the program develops. Presentations are sought in these general areas:
Distribution of Genetic Diversity in the Genus
Biology and Physiology
Breeding, Genetics, and Genomics
Entomology, Pathology, and Phytosanitary issues
Management of both Indigenous and Grafted Orchard Systems
Food quality, Economics, and Markets
Presentations will be 20 minutes, including time for questions. Power Point presentations should be prepared using a projection template that will be made available here. Presentations should be submitted prior to each session and will be advanced by the speaker. Please bring presentations in a 'Windows' operative system, Microsoft compatible, or open office formats. McIntosh computers will not be available.
