New NLAE funding for studying the complex interactions of humic products with nitrogen fertilizer
Dan Olk and Dana Dinnes received a 3-year renewal ($36,000) of funding to examine the interactive effects of humic products and nitrogen fertilizer rates on crop growth and grain yield. The Fluid Fertilizer Foundation funded the first three-year phase, and its successor, the FERT Foundation of The Fertilizer Institute, will fund the renewal. Plant measurements during each growing season will seek to explain the complex interactions between humic product and nitrogen fertilizer in affecting grain yield that were observed in the first three years.
