On Tuesday, August 22, Dr. Sabrina Ruis of NLAE will describe key differences between Organic vs. Conventional plots in her talk on soil health during the Neely-Kinyon Organic Field Day. Anyone interested in learning about organic farming can meet in the field Tuesday afternoon to discuss organic production with ISU professor Dr. Kathy Delate, prairie strips with Nick Thompson of Pheasants Forever, and soil health with Dr. Sabrina Ruis. Thompson will also discuss conservation practices during a supper featuring local and organic foods. Neely-Kinyon Organic Field Day is from 4-6 pm, August 22, at 2557 Norfolk Ave, Greenfield, IA.
